Wow, only 1 more potluck and the season starts to wind down.  We have one cabin open for the Labor Day special…it’s been a great summer. 

One of the best fishing years!  Nice walleyes, big crappies, slot northerns and beautiful bluegills.  The weeds along the lakeshore around the lake are hiding some big bass.

We’ll try and post some 2008 fishing pictures…just learning this trick.

It’s Memorial Day Weekend! The fishermen (and women) will be glad to know that the lake level is great due to some heavy moisture early in the season. The Bass don’t know this…but Bass Season is about to open on Saturday (May 24). They are currently in the shallow water, spawning.

As parents you keep track of your child’s milestones. They day they rolled over, took their first step, etc. Now that our kids are all out of the house…we mark things like when the ice comes off the lake on our calendars. For those of you interested, this happened on May 4th - which is very late in comparison to other years.

We’ve been busy preparing for your arrival and we think you will enjoy some of the additions we’ve made!
