Cedar Rapids Lodge is a family resort on the shore of Medicine Lake in the Bemidji Area of northern Minnesota. We have 45 well-groomed acres and a beautiful one-half mile of pristine shoreline. Our entire grounds are at lake level with all the cottages close to the lake for easy access. Come experience the peace and solitude, as we are the only resort on the lake.
At Cedar Rapids Lodge, we offer a variety of resort activities and excellent fishing.
Our lake features walleye, northern, bluegill, crappie, and largemouth bass. The beach area is a gradual sand slope, ideal for swimming. The wildlife is fabulous!

About Us
The Bloomquist family holds the fifth ownership of Cedar Rapids Lodge, built in 1933 by Harry Archer from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He built the cabins by hand with Tamarac logs harvested around the lake. Ray and Norma Williams owned the resort from 1944-1971, adding a swimming pool in 1965 to create a "family" resort atmosphere. Don and Vivian Helgeson bought the resort in 1971 and raised their 4 daughters here, staying until 1987 when they sold the resort to Jen’s parents, Steve and Pat Addler. They moved here from Illinois in 1987 with 4 young children and put their heart and soul into the resort for 30 years. Jen and Marc Bloomquist purchased this piece of heaven in 2017 and are fortunate that their parents have stuck around to help. They love it too much to leave! Jen and Marc are now raising their three kids at the resort and couldn't be more excited.
Our 14 cabins are vacation homes, available for rent from mid-May to October. Our cabins are all air-conditioned with the comforts of home. Monday Night Potluck is a tradition started in the 40s and continues every week...good food...good company!
We cater to kids and their families. We welcome each cabin's guests each week with a plate of cookies and an offer to help unload the car...we treat our guests like family and enjoy spending a vacation with them!
